Site purpose

This site is the primary publication medium for information about Living, working and investing in the Far North Region of New Zealand.

Site audience

The primary audience is the public, both New Zealanders, and those that live in other countries.

We recognise that the media, education institutions, individuals and people from other governments will visit the site though we have not specifically catered for those needs.

Site design

This site has been designed to adhere to the Government Web Guidelines, meet W3C WAI A guidelines or higher and conform to industry "best practice" for web development. We have carried out a self-assessment based on the Government Web Guidelines. Please see Accessibility for the ways in which we have made the site accessible to as many users as practical.

We will continue to enhance site accessibility in response to changes in the Guidelines and feedback from users.
